Charles Barry was given the opportunity to design this epic clock tower. The name
"Big Ben" does not refer to the tower, but to the largest of the five bells inside
the clock tower and is located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster in
London. It is the largest clock and the third tallest standing clock tower in the
world. It consists of four dials that are each twenty four feet in diameter and
minute hands that are fourteen feet long. Big Ben was the second 13 ton bell made
